Hannah Marsden

Pendrell Hall

1st October 2016

Hannah married Stuart and had her reception at Pendrell Hall. They met through mutual friends and took 18 months to organise the wedding. It was a dull day and rained heavily as the day went on, but everyone was cheerful.

Hannah had the ceremony in a church near to Pendrell Hall but wanted her hair and makeup to be done at home so that when she got to the venue she could have a look around and see the reception décor. The wedding was an elegant classic style with a pink and grey colour scheme.

Hannah had the airbrush makeup and wanted full coverage, finished with an elegant golden smokey eye. Hannah does suffer from adult acne and was conscious about how her skin would be on the wedding day. Unfortunately a few days before the wedding Hannah developed a blemish which she was extremely upset about, I messaged her a few days before and gave advice on what to do and followed up with re-assurances. The blemish on the day covered well with the airbrush makeup.

I then traveled over to Pendrell Hall to do the makeup of her last bridesmaid, Hannah's sister. When we arrived at the venue we were joined by the talented Photographer Natasha from New Era photography and Hannah's wedding flowers arranged by Amy Fairley had been delivered which was a lovely welcome.
When I was almost done with her sisters makeup everyone started getting dressed.

Hannah's dress was a Ronald Joyce from Shropshire Country Brides, while her bridesmaids' dresses were from Debenhams.

Hannah’s mom started to get her into her dress when the hook and eye had popped open (luckily I carry a sewing kit) and her mom started to sow a new one back on, but the fabric was that thick her mom was struggling. I could see the panic on her mom’s face trying to not let on to Hannah the drama that was going on. I finished the makeup then told her mom to get dressed and I would carry on. When I got to the back of the dress I had noticed that there was a bit of blood on the dress as Hannah's mom had pricked her finger. I had learnt a trick from a bridal dress designer on what to do to cover up blood or marks on a dress and got to work covering it. After sowing on a new hook and eye it was still pulling open and so I added a safety pin in to keep the zip up. We were running late at this time but Hannah was determined to not let her morning events get her down.
When everyone was dressed they got into the car and I had a sneak peak at the reception room, I'm never disappointed with how beautiful that venue is.
